Software Engineer
Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and Cisco network environments, troubleshoot complex issues, and assist with the deployment of new technologies for a statewide transportation agency.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software problems across Windows workstations and laptops.
- Support and maintain Cisco network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and VLAN configurations.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory and related services.
- Provide remote and on‑site assistance using Remote Desktop Services and ticketing tools.
- Participate in research, testing, and rollout of emerging technologies and system upgrades.
- Document solutions, create knowledge‑base articles, and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in IT client support within a Cisco‑based network environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with remote support tools, ticketing systems, and standard office productivity software.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical users.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365) preferred.
