Software Engineer
Perform IT audit and risk assessments, evaluate controls across cloud and on‑premise systems, and support governance, risk, and compliance initiatives using data analysis and audit tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and document IT audit engagements covering infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
- Assess the design and operating effectiveness of security controls against frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC.
- Analyze system logs, configuration data, and SQL queries to identify control gaps and recommend remediation.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies and track remediation progress.
- Prepare clear audit reports and present findings to senior management and audit committees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications (CISA, CRISC, AWS Certified) preferred.
- 2+ years of experience conducting IT audits, risk assessments, or GRC activities.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and data‑analysis tools.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and understanding of security controls in virtualized environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical findings into business‑focused recommendations.
