Software Engineer
Manage the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets, leveraging ServiceNow, PowerShell scripting, and Azure to ensure accurate inventory, compliance, and cost optimization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the IT Asset Management (ITAM) platform, primarily ServiceNow, to track hardware, software, and cloud resources.
- Develop and execute PowerShell and SQL scripts for automated data collection, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and security teams to enforce ITIL‑based processes for asset request, approval, and disposal.
- Monitor asset compliance, licensing, and cost optimization across on‑premises and Azure environments.
- Generate regular dashboards and ad‑hoc analyses for leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT asset management or configuration management, preferably with ServiceNow.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and proficiency in SQL for data manipulation.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and experience applying them to asset lifecycle management.
- Hands‑on experience with Azure cloud services and SaaS licensing models.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
