Provide expert Linux application support, troubleshooting incidents, and maintaining system stability using scripting and monitoring tools. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability and continuous improvement of IT services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve application and infrastructure incidents on Linux platforms, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Develop and maintain Bash and Python scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor system performance using tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus, and proactively address potential issues.
- Manage and update ticketing system records, providing clear status updates and root‑cause analysis.
- Collaborate with development, security, and network teams to implement patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Document procedures, knowledge base articles, and best practices for internal use.
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting Linux servers and applications in a production environment.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Python, with a track record of automating complex workflows.
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.).
- Experience with ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, or similar) and ITIL processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities, strong communication skills, and a customer‑focused mindset.
