Lead the design, development, and deployment of spatial intelligence applications using Python, JavaScript, and GIS tools on AWS, ensuring robust data pipelines and interactive visualizations for real‑time decision support.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable spatial data pipelines in Python, integrating GIS libraries and cloud services.
- Develop interactive web interfaces with JavaScript frameworks, delivering real‑time visualizations to end users.
- Collaborate with data scientists to translate analytical models into production‑ready applications.
- Maintain and optimize AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, Lambda) for high availability and cost efficiency.
- Write unit and integration tests, perform code reviews, and enforce best practices for quality and security.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with Python and JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of GIS concepts and experience with libraries such as GeoPandas or ArcPy.
- Hands‑on experience deploying applications on AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database design.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
