Systems Engineer
IT Administrator responsible for managing Windows and Linux environments, ensuring network security, compliance, and data protection. Requires expertise in Active Directory, AWS, and PowerShell scripting to support a defense-focused organization.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Administer Active Directory, group policies, and user access controls across the organization.
- Implement and monitor network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Manage cloud resources on AWS, including EC2, S3, and IAM, to support hybrid deployments.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine tasks and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with data security regulations and conduct regular security audits.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in IT administration within a security‑critical environment.
- Proficient with Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and AWS services.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell (and Bash preferred).
- Experience with network security tools and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
