Lead the design, integration, and management of instrumentation and monitoring data pipelines, leveraging Python, SQL, and cloud services to deliver reliable, real‑time insights for infrastructure performance and risk mitigation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, transform, and store instrumentation and monitoring data from diverse sensor networks.
- Implement real‑time visualization and alerting solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and custom dashboards to support operational decision‑making.
- Collaborate with engineering and risk teams to define data models, quality metrics, and validation rules ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) for data storage, processing, and analytics, applying best practices for security and cost efficiency.
- Automate CI/CD workflows for data pipeline code, tests, and deployments, reducing manual effort and increasing release reliability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or instrumentation data management, preferably in infrastructure or geotechnical domains.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and monitoring stacks such as Grafana and Prometheus.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data quality frameworks.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally, translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement.
