Detail‑oriented analyst responsible for developing, maintaining, and interpreting institutional data to support strategic planning, accreditation, and student records operations using SQL, Tableau, and advanced Excel techniques.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain data extracts, dashboards, and reports for the Registrar and Institutional Effectiveness offices.
- Analyze student enrollment, retention, graduation, and outcomes data to inform strategic planning and accreditation submissions.
- Develop and document data models, ETL processes, and data‑quality checks within the institution’s data warehouse.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external agencies to fulfill reporting requirements and resolve data discrepancies.
- Provide training and support to end‑users on self‑service reporting tools such as Tableau and Excel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Education Administration, or related field; experience in higher‑education data environments preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation; strong command of Microsoft Excel for analysis and reporting.
- Hands‑on experience creating visualizations and dashboards in Tableau or comparable BI tools.
- Knowledge of data‑warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and data‑quality assurance techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
