Devops Engineer
Infrastructure Engineer focused on managing and securing AWS‑centric environments while modernizing legacy VMware infrastructure. Leverages automation, patch management, and security best practices to bridge gaps in cloud migration and operations.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the migration of legacy VMware vSphere workloads to AWS, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Oversee patch management cycles, vulnerability assessments, and remediation across on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security controls and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.
- Document infrastructure architecture, runbooks, and incident response procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience with VMware vSphere and large‑scale infrastructure migrations.
- Hands‑on expertise in AWS services (EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM) and cloud migration strategies.
- Strong scripting skills in Python or PowerShell and familiarity with IaC tools.
- Solid understanding of security best practices, including patch management and vulnerability remediation.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
