About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise‑grade storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions to meet availability, performance, and compliance requirements.
- Automate provisioning, monitoring, and remediation tasks using Python scripts and configuration management tools.
- Integrate on‑premises storage infrastructure with cloud platforms, primarily AWS, to enable hybrid data protection strategies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot storage‑related incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures for storage and backup operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing Linux‑based storage environments and backup technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting with Python (or similar) for automation and orchestration.
- Hands‑on experience with SAN/NAS protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS) and enterprise backup software.
- Familiarity with AWS storage services (EBS, S3, Glacier) and hybrid cloud integration.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, ability to work independently and within a team, and excellent written communication.
