Devops Engineer
Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, automated infrastructure supporting AI, ML, cyber and geospatial intelligence services in a defence‑focused environment.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) across multiple data‑center sites.
- Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines to enable DevSecOps practices at scale.
- Collaborate with AI/ML, cyber and geospatial teams to provision compute, storage, and networking resources that meet performance and compliance requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise system reliability, performance, and security using scripting (Python) and Linux administration.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge‑base artifacts to support operational continuity.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, preferably in defence or high‑security environments.
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and automation scripting in Python.
- Strong Linux system administration skills and experience with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Hands‑on knowledge of security best practices, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional AI/ML, cyber and geospatial teams and obtain required eDV clearance.
