Devops Engineer
Hands‑on Infrastructure Engineer responsible for maintaining virtualisation, backup and data‑centre platforms, driving reliability, performance and modernization using VMware, Azure and scripting automation.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy and manage virtualised environments (VMware, Hyper‑V) across on‑premise and cloud infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery solutions to meet RTO/RPO targets.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and provide 24/7 operational support for Windows Server and Linux workloads.
- Automate routine tasks and configuration management using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
- Participate in platform lifecycle planning, capacity forecasting and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a focus on virtualization and cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, Microsoft Azure, and Windows Server administration.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Linux command‑line operations.
- Hands‑on experience with backup and recovery technologies (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, storage systems and security best practices.
