Infrastructure Engineer responsible for administering PostgreSQL databases, driving AWS cloud migrations, and managing Debian‑based Linux systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance for mission‑critical applications.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and tune PostgreSQL databases to guarantee availability, scalability, and data security.
- Plan and execute migration of workloads to AWS, leveraging services such as RDS and Aurora.
- Maintain and automate Debian‑based Linux servers, applying patches, configuration management, and performance optimizations.
- Implement infrastructure as code and scripting solutions to streamline provisioning and deployment.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve incidents, improve reliability, and support continuous delivery pipelines.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience managing PostgreSQL in production environments.
- Strong proficiency with AWS services, particularly RDS, Aurora, and related networking/storage components.
- Deep knowledge of Debian/Ubuntu Linux system administration, including package management, security hardening, and automation tools.
- Experience with cloud migration projects, scripting (Bash/Python), and infrastructure‑as‑code frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding of networking, monitoring, and backup/recovery strategies for mission‑critical systems.
