Devops Engineer
Design and support civil, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure for Alaska Energy Authority's owned assets and grant projects, conducting studies, field investigations, and delivering detailed engineering solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engineering studies and field investigations to assess the condition and performance of owned energy infrastructure.
- Develop detailed civil, electrical, and mechanical design documents, drawings, and specifications for new construction and retrofits.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet regulatory, safety, and project requirements.
- Support grant‑funded projects by preparing technical reports, cost estimates, and compliance documentation.
- Provide technical guidance during construction, installation, and commissioning phases, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, electrical, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, including design and field work.
- Proficiency with engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit) and strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate technical information effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and best practices for energy infrastructure in remote or harsh environments.
