Backend Engineer
Infrastructure/Backend Engineer responsible for modernizing and scaling a high‑performance trading platform, leveraging Python, Go, Kubernetes, AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver low‑latency, reliable services.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high‑throughput backend services supporting real‑time trading and market data pipelines.
- Lead the migration of legacy components to containerized, Kubernetes‑orchestrated architectures on AWS.
- Implement robust CI/CD workflows, automated testing, and monitoring to ensure system reliability and rapid release cycles.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts, traders, and product teams to translate performance and scalability requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval using SQL databases and caching strategies for low‑latency access.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience, preferably in finance or high‑frequency trading environments.
- Proficiency in Python and Go, with a strong grasp of concurrent and asynchronous programming.
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL performance tuning, and data modeling.
