IT Specialist responsible for maintaining and securing mission-critical systems, providing technical support, and ensuring network reliability using Windows and Linux platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tier‑1 and tier‑2 technical support for end‑users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Maintain and monitor Windows Server and Linux environments, applying patches, updates, and configuration changes.
- Implement and manage cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Document procedures, create knowledge‑base articles, and maintain system inventories.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux distributions.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, VPNs, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills for documenting and training end‑users.
