Systems Engineer
Provide system administration and end‑user support, managing Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, and scripting to ensure reliable IT operations and customer satisfaction.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments, including patching, performance tuning, and backup/recovery.
- Manage Active Directory objects, group policies, and user access controls.
- Provide Tier 1/2 technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Configure and monitor virtual machines and hyper‑visors (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V) to support application workloads.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions in knowledge bases.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience in system administration for Windows and Linux platforms.
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell (or Bash) for automation.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Microsoft Hyper‑V.
