Software Engineer
Lead IT strategy and policy development for the Department of Commerce, ensuring secure, cloud‑based solutions and data‑driven decision making across federal programs.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement IT policies that align with federal regulations and the Department’s strategic objectives.
Lead cross‑functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain secure cloud‑based infrastructure and services.
Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and recommend mitigation strategies to protect sensitive data.
Analyze operational data to inform policy decisions and improve IT service delivery.
Coordinate with external stakeholders, including vendors and other federal agencies, to ensure interoperability and compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT policy, cybersecurity, or cloud architecture within a federal or large enterprise environment.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and federal security frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP).
Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical setting.
