Information Technology Specialist Policy Planning - Customs and Border Protection

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with federal regulations and industry best practices.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate cybersecurity threats across cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate compliance requirements into project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery of secure solutions.
• Provide strategic guidance on cloud adoption, data analytics, and emerging technologies to support mission‑critical operations.
• Lead incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and post‑incident reviews to strengthen organizational resilience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IT policy development, cybersecurity, or risk management within a federal or large enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP) and compliance standards (FISMA, CJIS).
• Proven project management skills with experience delivering complex IT initiatives on schedule and within budget.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with a track record of influencing senior leadership.
