Information Technology Specialist - IV&V Program - Goddard Space Flight Center

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for mission‑critical flight and ground systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Develop, test, and maintain software applications, simulations, and digital twin models using Python, C++, and Java.
• Implement cyber/mission protection measures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and enforce security best practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AWS cloud services and AI algorithms into existing workflows.
• Document design decisions, test results, and operational procedures for compliance and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in software development, system integration, or cybersecurity within aerospace or defense environments.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, and AWS cloud services.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, digital twin technology, and simulation tools.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a mission‑critical setting.
