IT Specialist supporting NAEP assessment data, leveraging Python, SQL, and data visualization tools to analyze and report student performance across core subjects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for NAEP assessment data using Python and SQL.
- Perform statistical analysis and generate insights on student performance in reading, mathematics, and other core subjects.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations with Tableau to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the NAEP team and IT Program Manager to implement innovative technologies and improve data quality.
- Document processes, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support for assessment data systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Proven experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a federal agency environment.
