Information Technology Specialist InfoSec - Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site assessments of contractor information systems to verify compliance with classified‑information security requirements.
• Guide security managers in the selection, implementation, and continuous monitoring of technical controls such as encryption, access controls, and intrusion detection.
• Analyze risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to address identified vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate incident response activities, including reporting, containment, and post‑incident analysis.
• Provide training and mentorship to contractor security personnel on best practices and emerging threats.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in information assurance, cybersecurity, or related fields supporting classified environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of DoD security frameworks (e.g., NIST SP 800‑53, RMF) and ability to apply security controls.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Active Secret or higher security clearance (or ability to obtain).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ preferred.
