Software Engineer
Lead the development and enforcement of a comprehensive cyber security program for a military command, overseeing policy, training, and the assessment & authorization process across garrison and special operations networks.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a formal Command Cyber Security and training program for all units and deployed forces.
- Lead the Assessment & Authorization (A&A) process, ensuring compliance with national and international security standards.
- Serve as the Information System Security Manager, coordinating security activities across garrison networks and special operations forces.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate cyber security policies into operational planning and execution.
- Provide expert guidance on threat analysis, risk assessment, and incident response strategies.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in information security, cyber security policy, and security planning within a complex operational environment.
- Proven track record managing A&A processes and leading security teams.
- Strong understanding of military or defense cyber security frameworks and standards.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing operational demands.
