Software Engineer
Lead IT program management for enterprise modeling and simulation, advising on architecture, systems engineering, and technical standards to support Air Force modeling initiatives.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary IT Program Officer for Enterprise Modeling & Simulation initiatives, overseeing program planning, execution, and integration across the agency.
- Act as Senior Technical Advisor on M&S foundations, providing guidance on architecture, standards, and best practices to ensure alignment with Air Force objectives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and maintain enterprise architecture models, ensuring scalability, security, and interoperability of simulation systems.
- Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, and performance evaluations of M&S tools and platforms, recommending improvements and innovations.
- Prepare and present program status reports, technical briefings, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in IT program management within a defense or aerospace environment.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and modeling & simulation technologies.
- Strong systems engineering background with proven ability to translate technical requirements into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership in cross‑disciplinary teams and a track record of delivering mission‑critical IT solutions.
