Software Engineer
Seeking an Information Technology Specialist to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical software and infrastructure, leveraging Python, Java, Linux, AWS cloud services, and cybersecurity best practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications and scripts using Python and Java to support mission operations.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based servers and workstations, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement, monitor, and optimize cloud solutions on AWS, including compute, storage, and networking services.
- Apply cybersecurity controls and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and deliver integrated IT solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Python and Java programming, with experience in software development lifecycle practices.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture design.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including risk assessment and mitigation techniques.
