Software Engineer
Lead the design, development, and implementation of modern IT systems for HHS CMS programs, applying enterprise architecture principles and application software expertise to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement application software solutions that meet HHS CMS program requirements.
- Apply enterprise architecture frameworks to ensure system scalability, security, and interoperability across CMS platforms.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical specifications, conduct feasibility studies, and manage project timelines.
- Perform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting to maintain high availability and performance.
- Document architecture designs, coding standards, and deployment procedures for future maintenance and compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in application development and enterprise architecture within a large federal or healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices, data privacy regulations, and IT governance.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, PMP, or equivalent) are a plus.
