Security Engineer
Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of secure information systems, protecting critical national security assets through advanced threat analysis, incident response, and cloud security practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure network and system architectures for classified and unclassified environments.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and threat modeling to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and recovery of security incidents.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with NIST, FedRAMP, and DoD guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security controls into development and operations pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in information systems security within a government or defense context.
- Strong knowledge of network security technologies, IAM, and cloud security (AWS).
- Hands‑on experience with vulnerability management, SIEM, and incident response tools.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CEH, GCIH, or equivalent) preferred.
