Lead the Marine Corps Community Services security program, overseeing risk management, incident response, and security architecture to protect critical information systems and ensure compliance with federal standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the organization’s information security strategy, policies, and procedures in alignment with DoD and federal regulations.
- Lead risk assessment and mitigation activities, including vulnerability management, penetration testing, and threat modeling.
- Coordinate incident response efforts, conduct investigations, and produce post‑incident reports to improve security posture.
- Oversee security architecture design, ensuring secure integration of new systems and technologies.
- Manage security awareness training and promote a culture of security across all personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in information security management.
- Strong knowledge of DoD security frameworks (NIST, DISA STIGs) and compliance requirements.
- Hands‑on experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
