Remote Information Security Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring security controls across cloud and on‑premise environments, focusing on AWS, SIEM integration, vulnerability management, and incident response.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain security architectures for cloud (AWS) and hybrid environments.
- Implement, tune, and monitor SIEM solutions to detect and respond to threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, manage remediation workflows, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Lead incident response activities, perform root‑cause analysis, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Automate security processes using scripting languages such as Python.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands‑on experience in information security, preferably in a cloud‑focused role.
- Proficiency with AWS security services (IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub) and cloud security frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanning tools, and incident response methodologies.
- Experience scripting/automation with Python or similar languages.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, GSEC) are a plus.
