Security Engineer
Senior security engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure user‑facing and data center services across multiple networks and security domains for an intelligence community customer.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage secure IT services for user‑facing and data center environments across multiple networks and security domains.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including IAM, encryption, and network segmentation, to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify and remediate risks.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and incident response plans in alignment with federal and agency standards.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate security into the full lifecycle of IT projects, from procurement to disposal.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; advanced certifications (CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in information assurance, security engineering, or related roles within a government or intelligence environment.
- Proficiency with AWS security services, network security technologies, and data center infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of federal security frameworks (NIST, DoD, FISMA) and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
