Software Engineer
Design and implement security controls, develop security plans and contingency documentation, and conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with Department of Defense requirements for mission‑critical systems.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including security plans, contingency plans, and test plans, aligned with DoD policies.
- Perform risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and threat modeling for assigned programs.
- Design and implement security controls and architecture to protect classified and sensitive information.
- Coordinate security testing, validation, and remediation activities with cross‑functional teams.
- Provide technical guidance on information assurance best practices and ensure continuous compliance with applicable regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in developing security documentation and conducting risk assessments for DoD or similar high‑security environments.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, security architecture, and information assurance principles.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for access to classified information.
