Your Future Role
Aimpoint is currently looking for an Industrial Automation Engineer with experience in advanced, high‑automation production systems. In this role, you will work with PLC/HMI development and take overall responsibility for the development, optimization, and implementation of our advanced and highly automated production lines within your area of responsibility. You will act as a requirements owner for systems and automation solutions, and participate in development, installation, commissioning, and upgrading of equipment. Additional tasks include troubleshooting, system upgrades, feasibility studies, pre-engineering, and contributing to automation strategy, simulations, and system visualization. You will also ensure technical documentation meets all requirements and work with both new equipment design and integration of supplier solutions.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone experienced in PLC/HMI programming, primarily Siemens S7, with additional knowledge in electrical design, control engineering, instrumentation, and electrical components. You have experience working with engineering, programming, and commissioning projects through to a fully operational plant. Experience with ABB OmniCore or similar systems, and background in manufacturing industries such as automotive or medtech, is an advantage.
Qualifications
· At least 5 years of PLC programming experience within industry
· TIA-Portal (Siemens PLC)
· WinCC Unified (JavaScript)
· Knowledge of machine safety and Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC)
· Technical education (Bachelor’s/Master’s in engineering or equivalent)
· Fluent in Swedish and English

· SQL, SCADA, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, EPLAN
· ABB RobotStudio
· Node-RED (flow-based programming tool (SQL))
· Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP)
