Implementation Analyst - athenahealth

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of HL7 and FHIR interfaces between athenahealth and trading partners.
• Analyze and map clinical data elements to ensure accurate, compliant data exchange for labs, imaging, demographics, charges, appointments, and prescriptions.
• Manage a high-volume project queue, prioritizing tasks, setting timelines, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Identify workflow gaps, propose solutions, and implement process improvements to increase network efficiency.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including interface specifications, test plans, and user guides.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare integration, with strong knowledge of HL7 v2/v3 and FHIR standards.
• Proficiency in SQL and data mapping techniques for clinical data.
• Hands‑on experience building and testing APIs, including authentication and security best practices.
• Excellent project management skills, able to juggle multiple initiatives and deliver on schedule.
• Strong communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
