Embedded Systems Engineer
Design, develop, and support Ignition‑based SCADA solutions for industrial automation, integrating PLCs, OPC‑UA, and databases while providing HMI design and troubleshooting for smart factory projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement Ignition SCADA applications, including HMI screens, tag structures, and alarm management.
- Integrate PLCs and field devices using OPC-UA, Modbus, and other industrial protocols.
- Develop and maintain Python and JavaScript scripts for data acquisition, processing, and automation workflows.
- Configure and optimize SQL databases for historian and real‑time data storage.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for deployed SCADA systems.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align SCADA solutions with overall digitalization and smart factory strategies.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of hands‑on experience with Ignition SCADA platform.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
- Proficiency in Python (or Jython) scripting and basic JavaScript for Ignition modules.
- Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, MS SQL) for historian and reporting functions.
- Solid understanding of PLC programming, HMI design, and OT security best practices.
