About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user research, contextual inquiries, and usability testing to inform design of textile‑based health monitoring devices.
- Translate user insights into personas, journey maps, and interaction designs that meet medical device standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, and regulatory teams to ensure designs comply with FDA, ISO 13485, and CE marking requirements.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, prototypes, and usability test plans.
- Analyze biometric and sensor data to refine user experience and support clinical validation studies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of human factors or UX design experience in medical devices or health tech.
- Deep knowledge of medical device regulations (FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62366).
- Proficiency in usability testing, heuristic evaluation, and design tools (Sketch, Figma, InVision).
- Experience working with biometric data and continuous monitoring technologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
