Software Engineer
Lead HPC engineering for R&D, designing and optimizing parallel workloads on Linux clusters using MPI, OpenMP, and Python, while managing SLURM scheduling and performance tuning for global medical research projects.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain HPC applications and workflows for large‑scale scientific simulations.
- Optimize code for parallel execution using MPI, OpenMP, and GPU acceleration where applicable.
- Configure and manage Linux-based HPC clusters, including job scheduling with SLURM and resource monitoring.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate HPC solutions into the broader research pipeline.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and performance analysis for end‑users across the organization.
Requirements
- Strong experience with HPC programming models (MPI, OpenMP) and performance profiling.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Hands‑on knowledge of job schedulers, particularly SLURM, and cluster management tools.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in the life sciences or medical research domain is a plus.
