Data Analyst
Hourly Data Analyst supporting a grant‑funded economic impact evaluation, responsible for data collection, statistical analysis, policy assessment, and reporting using Python, SQL, and econometric tools.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and integrate economic and program data from multiple public and private sources.
- Perform statistical and econometric analyses to assess the economic impact of development initiatives.
- Develop data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders and policymakers.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that satisfy NJERA legislative requirements.
- Collaborate with faculty, grant partners, and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority to ensure methodological rigor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field; advanced coursework in econometrics preferred.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and R for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
- Experience with statistical techniques such as regression, time‑series, and impact evaluation methods.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex results into clear, actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and stakeholder interaction.
