Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer for NASA's Human Landing System (HLS) responsible for requirements development, verification planning, integration activities, and simulation modeling to ensure successful mission hardware delivery.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain system requirements, interface control documents, and traceability matrices for the Human Landing System.
- Lead verification and validation planning, including test procedures, analysis, and compliance reporting.
- Coordinate integration and test activities across hardware, software, and subsystem teams to ensure seamless system assembly.
- Create and execute high‑fidelity models and simulations to support design trade studies and performance verification.
- Collaborate with NASA and partner agencies to align technical baselines, schedule milestones, and risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering for aerospace or defense programs, preferably with NASA or human spaceflight projects.
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Jama) and verification/validation processes.
- Strong knowledge of integration, test planning, and modeling/simulation techniques.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
