About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain HL7 v2/v3 and FHIR API interfaces for inbound and outbound data flows.
- Configure, tune, and support integration engines such as Mirth Connect and Corepoint to meet performance and reliability targets.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation to guarantee accurate interoperability across disparate clinical systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve production interface issues, providing timely root‑cause analysis and fixes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, external vendors, and clinical stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with healthcare standards.
- Enforce security, privacy, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH) throughout the integration lifecycle.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience developing and supporting HL7 and FHIR interfaces.
- Proficiency with integration engines, specifically Mirth Connect and/or Corepoint, including channel development and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards, message structures, and mapping techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex interface problems in a production environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely during CST business hours.
