Software Engineer
Provide remote technical support for Siemens Healthineers' syngo imaging platforms across the Americas, delivering best‑in‑class service through troubleshooting, scripting, and integration of DICOM/HL7 workflows.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver remote first‑line support for syngo imaging applications, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for customers in the Americas region.
- Analyze DICOM and HL7 communication problems, perform data integrity checks, and coordinate escalations with product development when needed.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (primarily Python) to streamline routine diagnostics, system health checks, and deployment tasks.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including field service engineers, clinical specialists, and IT operations—to ensure seamless integration of digital solutions into hospital environments.
- Document incidents, resolutions, and knowledge‑base articles in accordance with IT Service Management (ITIL) standards.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Windows and Linux operating systems in a clinical or enterprise setting.
- Proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls) and ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Hands‑on knowledge of DICOM and HL7 protocols and their implementation in medical imaging workflows.
- Programming/scripting skills, preferably Python, for automation and diagnostic tooling.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a remote support center.
