Lead the design, implementation, and secure operation of mission‑critical networked systems for a medical center, ensuring high availability, regulatory compliance, and patient‑care continuity.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain high‑availability server and network infrastructures that support clinical, environmental, and compliance‑driven systems.
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including threat assessment, vulnerability management, and incident response for mission‑critical networks.
- Collaborate with clinical, IT, and compliance teams to integrate new technologies while preserving patient‑care continuity and regulatory adherence.
- Develop and enforce network design standards, documentation, and operational procedures to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and implement proactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience designing and managing high‑availability network and server environments in a regulated healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and security best practices.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools, automation, and scripting to streamline operations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with clinical and regulatory stakeholders.
