Data Analyst
Analyze clinical and operational data to drive patient safety, quality improvement, and compliance initiatives, creating reports, dashboards, and predictive insights using SQL, Tableau, and Python.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports that translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights for clinical and operational leaders.
- Perform data extraction, cleaning, and transformation using SQL and Python to support patient safety, infection control, and quality improvement projects.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrators to define metrics, establish data standards, and ensure analytical solutions align with organizational goals.
- Conduct statistical analyses and predictive modeling to identify trends, risk factors, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Monitor data quality, resolve discrepancies, and document data lineage to maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field; minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare data analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, and strong Python skills for scripting and statistical analysis.
- Hands‑on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Solid understanding of clinical workflows, patient safety metrics, and healthcare compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, Joint Commission).
- Excellent communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
