Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of health professions education programs, ensuring high-quality training and patient care for trainees within the VA medical facility.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Designated Education Officer to develop and maintain HPE curricula aligned with VA standards.
- Conduct program evaluations, analyze data, and recommend improvements to enhance trainee performance and patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements and internal quality metrics for health professions training.
- Facilitate faculty development workshops and provide mentorship to clinical educators.
- Coordinate interdepartmental initiatives to integrate educational objectives with clinical operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Nursing, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in health professions education or clinical training program management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in program evaluation and quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
- Knowledge of VA policies, accreditation standards, and health care delivery systems.
