Health System Specialist Facility Planner - Veterans Health Administration

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hospital leadership, service chiefs, and regional partners to develop and update long‑range facility plans that support clinical and operational goals.
• Conduct and synthesize market studies, demographic analyses, and capacity assessments to inform strategic decisions.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable facility projects, coordinating with architects, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure timely delivery of facility improvements.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions, gathering input and communicating progress across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration, Facilities Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in health system or facility planning within a large healthcare organization.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Knowledge of VA regulations and accreditation standards is a plus.
