Entry‑level Health Information Specialist responsible for extracting, transforming, and loading healthcare data, ensuring compliance with standards like HL7/FHIR, and supporting data‑driven initiatives on cloud platforms.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and load clinical and claims data from multiple sources into the data collaboration platform.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using Python and SQL to support analytics and AI use cases.
- Validate data quality and ensure adherence to healthcare standards such as HL7 and FHIR.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, and healthcare partners to resolve data issues and improve workflows.
- Document data mappings, transformation logic, and governance procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with healthcare data formats (HL7, FHIR) and basic data governance concepts.
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS) and ETL tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
