Data Analyst
Analyze and transform health information data to support clinical, research, and operational decision‑making, using SQL, Python, and Tableau while ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Extract, clean, and validate large volumes of clinical and administrative data from electronic health record systems.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Tableau to provide actionable insights for clinicians, researchers, and administrators.
- Design and implement ETL pipelines using SQL and Python to support data warehousing and analytics initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements, ensure data quality, and align analytics with organizational goals.
- Monitor compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare data regulations, documenting data lineage and governance processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis within a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong experience building visualizations and dashboards with Tableau or similar tools.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and regulatory compliance (HIPAA).
