Data Scientist
Develop predictive models and data visualizations to support health‑care decisions, manage and maintain SQL Server databases, and ensure system reliability through robust monitoring, scheduling, and security practices.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and validate predictive and statistical models that address open‑ended business questions and improve patient outcomes.
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools such as Tableau or Power BI to communicate insights to clinical and administrative stakeholders.
- Manage, optimize, and maintain SQL Server databases, including performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security compliance.
- Implement and oversee job scheduling, system monitoring, and change management processes to ensure high availability of data pipelines.
- Maintain and enhance existing web‑based analytics applications, troubleshooting issues and integrating new data sources.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python (or R) for data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
- Hands‑on experience with SQL Server administration, query optimization, and database design.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear visual narratives using modern visualization platforms.
- Solid understanding of systems support disciplines: problem management, change management, security controls, and job scheduling.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional health‑care teams and present findings to non‑technical audiences.
