About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee end‑to‑end FPGA solutions for phased‑array ground stations, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead a team of FPGA designers in RTL development, synthesis, place‑and‑route, and verification using Vivado, Quartus, and other industry tools.
- Collaborate with system, ASIC, and software teams to integrate FPGA logic with embedded C/C++ firmware and high‑speed serial protocols (e.g., JESD204, PCIe).
- Drive continuous improvement of design flows, IP reuse, and automated test benches to accelerate time‑to‑market.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices for design quality and documentation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of FPGA design experience in high‑performance, mission‑critical environments.
- Expertise in Verilog/VHDL, RTL design, and high‑speed serial interface implementation.
- Proficiency with Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, and related synthesis/implementation tools.
- Strong background in embedded C/C++ and system architecture for space or aerospace applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
