Senior academic leader responsible for steering an engineering or management department, overseeing curriculum design, faculty development, accreditation processes, and fostering industry‑academia partnerships.
About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic academic leadership for the department, setting vision and goals aligned with institutional objectives.
- Design, update, and implement outcome‑based curricula for engineering, AI/ML, data science, and management programs.
- Coordinate faculty activities, mentor junior staff, and lead professional development initiatives.
- Manage accreditation cycles, including NBA and NAAC documentation, self‑study reports, and compliance audits.
- Facilitate industry‑academia collaborations, internships, and research projects to enhance student employability.
Requirements
- Associate or Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in a relevant discipline with at least 8 years of higher‑education teaching experience.
- Proven experience in curriculum planning, academic administration, and faculty coordination.
- Demonstrated involvement in NBA/NAAC accreditation processes or similar quality‑assurance activities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Track record of fostering industry partnerships and outcome‑based education.
