As the Head of Data, you will ensure successful strategic definition and delivery of data products that revolutionise how Healint makes decisions and operates. You will lead and foster a team of data scientists, data analysts and data engineers that navigate through a myriad of data sources and need to focus to deliver actionable insight. This goes beyond basic reporting and ventures into more advanced techniques and the utilisation of state of the art approaches to clean, label and make an asset out of our data. Your team has to form and maintain close partnership with other tech and business functions in the company. This is an exciting leadership role for someone who enjoys delivering technical excellence whilst collaborating across the organisation to dramatically reshape the data landscape.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and improvement of data products used by our enterprise partners. These products are used by Fortune 500 companies and are using Healintʼs unique and proprietary data set.
- Taking a lead on project work, you will be continually encouraged to devise innovative solutions, to help maximise the value of Healintʼs data assets by helping transform data into insight.
- Maintain and develop machine learning models that help patients on the Healint platform in improving their health outcomes. Youʼre comfortable creating predictive models with state of the art techniques.
- Ensure that the product and marketing teams have access to the right insights to drive their decision making.
- Lead a data science and data engineering team and expand these capabilities by partnering with other tech and business functions in the company.
- Managing key stakeholder relationships, such as engineering, external clients, product, and top management.
- Developing your team’s skill-sets, through inspiring, mentoring, and coaching.
Skills & Experiences
- You will embody a collaborative approach to deliver technology solutions that enable tangible business benefits.
- You have some understanding/experience of healthcare, either through a degree or through previous experience.
- Solid foundations on statistical and scientific methods coupled with a deep understanding of modern and classic data technologies.
- Experience with a scripting language, such as Python - in the context of data science, data exploration.
- Experience writing SQL queries in an analytical setting.
- Experience in Business Intelligence – ability to drive data modelling and data visualisation efforts.
- Experience in Data Warehousing, including pipeline creation and maintenance.
- Experience in working with rich and heterogeneous data sources and lead data-driven innovations.
- Experienced at producing data artefacts that can be used by the business to drive value to operations, strategy, commercial, finance, manufacturing, etc.
- Ability to connect, motivate and inspire.
